You must be 25 years of age, with a valid driver’s license – UNLESS you’re between the ages of 21-24 and have a designated sole operator who is 25 years of age or older and holds a state-issued boating license.

The state of Missouri requires that all people born on or after January 1, 1984 must have a boating safety card either from Missouri or your own state to operate anything on the water with a motor. You can go online to https://www.boat-ed.com/ to take the lifetime course, or you may take the one-time 7-Day provisional license at https://www.boat-ed.com/ This WILL take some time – please plan ahead to obtain the certificate.

Rental insurance policies allow boats to be driven during daylight hours only. Boating fatalities, catastrophes and arrests overwhelmingly occur after dark.

4, 6 and 8 Hour Rentals: Cancellation must be made no later than 48 hours prior to the scheduled rental date to receive a refund (minus a 9% cancellation fee).
Multi-Day Rentals: Cancellation must be made no later than 5 days prior to the scheduled rental date to receive a refund (minus a 9% cancellation fee).
General Notes: Failure to notify ABR within the required timeframe results in loss of full payment unless the rental is rescheduled. We will do our best to work with you while remaining fair to ourselves. You must call and speak to Management to cancel. The imposed 9% cancellation fee would be honored as a credit towards any future bookings with us!

ABR is not responsible for weather conditions. However, we will try to accommodate weather interruptions with additional rental time or rescheduling if possible. There are no refunds for early returns due to weather unless otherwise agreed upon by management.

There is a late fee of $50 per 15 minutes, strictly enforced. If there is a “no call/no show” after 15 minutes, Water Patrol will be notified with your GPS location and dispatched for a safety check.

Boats are inspected and photos are taken before and after every rental. Customers are fully responsible for all repair costs and replacement of missing or damaged equipment. The credit card on file will be charged immediately for damages exceeding the security deposit.

On the day of your rental, a credit or debit card is required for a $650 security deposit hold to cover any potential damages or missing equipment.

Missouri law limits the capacity to 12 individuals total. This includes infants, toddlers, and older children. There is a maximum person weight limit of 2063 lbs.

There are no open flames allowed, including lit cigarettes or cigars. Our cupholders aren’t ashtrays.

You should arrive approximately 30 minutes before your rental time to complete the contract and receive instructions. Arriving late cuts into your rental time; you are responsible for the full time booked.

The gas tank is full when you depart. Upon return, you are responsible for the cost of refueling the tank full.

The Company provides USCG-approved life jackets, an anchor, fire extinguishers, a Type IV PFD throw cushion, sound-producing devices, and a signal flag. (Note: Missouri law requires children 7 and under, including infants, to wear life jackets at all times while on the dock or boat). Bringing personal floatation devices that your group is already familiar with is encouraged!
